Temperatures in Dallas have ranged from 102 - 108 this summer. It has been miserable. I am especially thankful that I was pregnant last summer and not this summer. So, how have we been weathering this hot summer?

10 months

It is hard for me to believe that this precious angel is 10 months. (Almost 11 months). Where does time go? In his 10th month of life, Wells:
- said "Dada"
- said "Mama"
- is walking while holding on to furniture
- started to have really bad separation anxiety when leaving me or Max
- still takes two, two-hour naps a day (9 - 11 a.m.) and (1 -3 p.m.)
- still sleeps 12 hours a night
- is beginning to eat more solids. His new favorites are Mi Cocina guacamole, hummus and pickles. Cheerios - still won't even entertain them!!!
- is very definite about what he wants and struggles to communicate that with us
- is still a very laid back child
- really only gets frustrated or upset when he is hungry, tired or Max and I leave the room.
- waves to people when he sees them
- still takes 4, 8-ounce bottles a day
- still takes 4, 8-ounce bottles a day
- is wearing some 12-month clothing, but mostly 18-month clothing
- has the most infectious giggle
- had the horrible stomach virus in his 10th month of life (more to come on that)
- is the definition of pure joy!
It is so amazing to see our precious little boy turn into a curious little boy. It is amazing to see how his little mind works and how he is beginning to have strong preferences. It is amazing how time has flown by!

A Broadmoor Kind of 4th!
We went to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs for the 4th. We had a fabulous time and loved every second of being with family and out of the heat. I won't bore you with all of the details, rather let you see the fun we had from our pictures!

My precious little one all dressed up in his seer sucker suit!
And, in other news, Wells said his first word on July 3 - "dada." We are now actively working on "mama."

Praise Jesus, It's the Weekend.
I don't know how else to say it, but I am so thankful it is the weekend. We had a long week last week. Max was in finals and also finishing his last week at his current job. He will start his new job on July 6! We are praising the Lord for this opportunity and for the Lord sustaining him through all the stress that work and school has put on him and us!
So, to start the weekend off, Wells put on his seersucker finest to go and celebrate with his daddy! There is a lot to celebrate! I, for one, am very relieved to have finals behind us. And I did not have to even take them :)
Our Saturday started with this precious face smiling and wanting to play. So, we went on a walk in his "go cart." (Thank you, Jeanine)!

And then we went to the pool! Wells loves the pool!

And, this is our new face. Scrunched nose, big smile, showing of those teeth.

Really enjoyed those green beans, mom!
