11 months

It is hard to believe that a year ago I was preparing to become a mother. I know it is cliche to say, but I absolutely cannot imagine what life was like without Wells. He is the definition of joy and such a precious addition to our family.

At 11 months, he:

- weighs 23 pounds
- still takes 4, 8-ounce bottles a day
- wears 18 - 24 month clothing
- is crawling and cruising on his feet and the furniture
- is into EVERYTHING
- says "Mama," "Daddy," "Uh-Oh" and "Ziggy" (that is my sister's dog)
- eats squash, bananas, pears, apple-blueberry, green beans and applesauce daily
- loves guacamole, black beans and hummus
- takes two, two-hour naps (9 - 11 a.m.) and (1 - 3 p.m.)
- loves the remote control, the phone, water bottles, the dogs, balls, bath time and bath toys, playing in the wash machine and dish washer
- discovered his "manhood" this month and all the sudden has a new "toy"
- has had pretty bad separation anxiety from me and Max
- loves his push car with the horn
- has curlier hair every day
- loves to give kisses to his mama
- loves snuggling and playing in our bed in the morning

Wells loves to wave "hello" and "goodbye"
He can frequently be found crawling around the house with a phone or remote control in one hand and his other hand doing most of the crawling

Oh and how can I forget...he finally holds his own bottle, but only when he is laying down.

I have not had him measured lately, but this little one is getting long and lean

Wells loves tools now too. He assisted his daddy in assembling one of his girlfriends "push cars" for her birthday

Every little boy needs a daddy to show them how to use tools.

They are both quite pleased with their work.

Wells has also taking a liking to my car keys.

He likes to jingle them in front of the dogs. The dogs are soooo patient.

After he is done dangling them in front of the dogs, he loves to bang them against the back door window. Makes great noises, mommy!!!

And finally, the dogs have taught Wells how to be on "squirrel patrol." Wells squeals when he sees squirrels come up to try and eat the dogs food.

Cookout by the pool!

Max and I recently hosted a cookout by the pool with several of our friends. We had a blast. Definitely trying to plan another one before the summer is over...

Max and Wells.
One of my dear friends, Baylie, and Wells.

Two dear friends, Leslie and Missy.

Randy and his daughter, Morgan, and Max.

My sweet sister and McCall

Randy and Morgan (his wife Lindsay was busy that night)

And finally, McCall.

It was a fun time with sweet friends! Can't wait to do it again! :)

Pickles!

That's right! Wells loves pickles. He should because I feel like I ate two jars a day of pickles while I was pregnant with him. Pickles are one of the very few foods he will eat these days. So proud of my pickle prince!
