Wonder of the Dallas World Aquarium

I took a day off to spend with Wells for his first birthday. It was declared "Wells day" and we did fun things all day to celebrate him. I will certainly make this a tradition every year. One of the highlights of the day was going to the Dallas World Aquarium, which is where Max and I had our wedding reception. It was so fun to go back to "where it all started" and bring our little one along to experience the wonder of the aquarium.

He was fascinated with all the waterfalls, fish, birds and sea life around him.

And so was this little girl.

Dolly talked to both babies about the different kind of sea life and animals they were seeing.

It was so fun to have the cousins together.

Sitting in the tunnel with all of the fish and sharks swimming above us was the highlight.

And then we got to the flamingos. Neither of the babies knew what to think about them.

If you live in Dallas or are ever in the area, you should put this on your list to go and do! It is amazing!

A Whale of a Time!

It is official! Wells is 1. I had an absolute blast planning my little boy's 1st birthday party. And...it was a "whale of a time."

Forgive the crooked picture, but this was on the front door when our guests walked in...

All of the decorations (and food - for the most part) were navy, green and white.

Me and my sweet grandparents (Wellsy's great grandparents)

Oh how I love my little family!!!

Wells and his Dolly! He was glued to her side on his big day.

"It's my party and I will cry if I want to!" He did not want to have his picture taken.

My precious boys.

And then it was cake time...

He listened carefully as I told him how to blow out the candle

But, decided he wanted mama to do it
And, he did not quite know what to do with the cake, so I showed him how to make a huge mess.

After he was finished, he was quite pleased with himself.

After cake, he was off to play in his new firetruck that several of my precious friends gave him.

And then, McCall got into the cupcakes.

After all of our guests were gone, Wellsy crashed and McCall decided to play with Dutch on his i-pad.

The next morning, Wells wanted to take his new truck for a spin around the neighborhood. Thank you Dolly and Dutch for his new truck. He loves it.
As you can see, he is quite excited about his new ride.

And, a truck would not be complete without Sonic drinks in the back :)

Oh how I love this little boy. The first year of his life has flown by. I fall more and more in love with this gift the Lord has given us every day. Be back soon with his 12 month post and stats.
