Max and I went back to Auburn last weekend. We stayed with my dear friend and roommate from college, Katie Compton, and her husband Ben and sweet baby Campbell. We had an absolute blast hanging out with them. Katie and Ben, we miss you already. Thank you for giving us your weekend. We absolutely loved our time together. Can't wait to see you both soon! Below are pictures from our trip:
Man! What an incredible feeling it is to be back to my alma mater. I still get the biggest jolt of adrenaline watching the pre-game festivities.
My cute hubby and me!Max and me outside Amsterdam (the restaurant). Anyone who has been there knows the turkey wraps and sweet potatoe chips are AMAZING! Sweet Katie and Ben! Thank you for spending your weekend with us! Katie and me. It is amazing how you pick up where you left off! I miss you sweet friend!
I am looking forward to a weekend at home - relaxing and getting caught up. The last two weekends away has me exhausted and real far behind with my house and life in general. Hope you all have a great weekend!
We got back from vacation to find that our dogs had been very, very bad. They stayed at my parents house while we were in Mackinac and were very intrigued by my mom's stash of Styrofoam cups. After chewing through a few sleeves of cups, my mom put this up...
Sorry Mom for the trouble, but I have to say this picture still cracks me up! Not sure if your "cup cage" worked, but I think it was very creative!
We recently celebrated Max's birthday and one of his special presents was this... his other birthday present was to attend a Baylor and an Auburn game. We are headed to spend time with a bunch of our friends this weekend at a football game and will post more from this weekend when we get back.
Max and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan. We go every Labor Day with his family, and look forward to this trip all year. It is one of the most unique places I have ever been. The island has no cars on it an only allows bicycles and horse-drawn carriages for transportation. The island has a population of about 1,800 people and is only 8 miles around. Below are some pictures from our trip. Thank you, Jodry's, for such a wonderful trip!
Max and me on the ferry ride over! The Jodry Family!
Every night, we dress up for dinner in formal dresses and tuxedos. After dinner, we do our nightly walk up the West Bluff overlooking lake Michigan, which is where this photo is taken.
We stay at the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island. The front porch is the size of two football fields (in length) and is adorned with white rocking chairs - all with a view of beautiful lake Michigan. This is Max and his brother, Alex, hanging out on the front porch.
Well it has been a while since I have posted. We have been busy traveling and working. On August 17th, we celebrated Max's birthday and had a great time! I would be remiss if I missed the opportunity to say how much I love and appreciate my husband. He is the light of my life, the best thing that has ever happened to me and my absolute best friend!
I love you Max and hope you have a wonderful 27th year of life!
Many of you know that my brother-in-law, Jake, has been serving our country abroad for the past 5 or 6 months. Well, he came home the other day! Praise the Lord. What is even more unique about his homecoming is that he got to see his 4 month old baby, McCall, for the first time. He was able to be there the day she was born, but this was the first time he has seen her since then.
My sister hired a videographer who captured the "fly-in" when Jake flew home. Jake is the pilot who is flying the first airplane in the video (he is the Commander) and is leading the pack.
This video made me cry my eyes out when I saw it. It makes me so proud to say that my brother serves our country and fights for our freedom!
Welcome Home Jake! We love you and missed you so much!
Rachael and me at Luckenbach! Our first time there!
A couple weekends ago, Max and I drove down to Boerne to see our dear friends Rachael and J. We were there for only about 24 hours but it was the most enriching 24 hours we have had in a while. Rachael recently had baby Trip, who is absolutely precious. This was the first time I got to see Trip and he was such a great baby. We took him with us on Saturday to the vineyards - and what a trooper!
Saturday night, Max, J, Rachael, Trip and I went to Luckenbach, Texas. It was some incredible people watching and a great time had by all!
Rach and J - We miss you so much and wish you lived closer. We hope to come again sometime during the holidays! Thank you for having us!
Born and raised in Plano, Texas I have spent the majority of my life learning what God's plan is for my life. I am still discovering it. One step at a time, I have been blessed with an amazing journey. At age 24, I married Max Jodry, who has been an unbelievable partner in life. At 28, Max and I welcomed our first child, Wells, into our family! Blessed to work in healthcare, I have the opportunity to work with families and patients in their greatest time of need. We re loving being parents and in our free time, Max and I love to travel, ride our bikes, play spades and dominos and take our Italian Greyhounds, Ava and Archer out to run around and play.
