MBA Max

HE DID IT! After two rigorous years of studying, working and balancing being a husband and father, Max has finally finished school and now has his MBA! I truly could not be more proud of him and all of his hard work and determination! I don't know too many people who could work full time, go to school full time, graduate with a 3.92 GPA and make their family feel like he never missed a beat! He was always there with us during family time!

Max, We love you and are so proud of you! I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for you next!

Special friends at Christmas!

We recently got together with these special friends (and a few others, Lisa and Nikki) to celebrate Christmas. I used to work with these girls! Gosh how I miss them. Love you, girls, and can't wait to see you soon!

Breakfast with Santa

Wells had his first memorable encounter with Santa. We will sum it up to say, he was NOT a fan!

One of our only good family photos.
You can see Wells look out of the corner of his eye at Santa as if "I am not too sure about this."

So, daddy did the honors of introducing him to the big man in the red suit.

He only would sit on his lap if daddy was holding him.

And then we tried....

And as you can tell, it did not go so well. Actually this picture makes me die laughing!

Poor thing. You would think we did something horrible.

So, I tried holding him on Santa's lap. Nope, not going to work.

Only thing this guy wanted was his daddy! So, we settled for a family photo on Santa's lap.

All was well in his world after his Santa encounter.

Precious little guy who loves his Gami and Gampi.

Our little elf!

Wells loves Christmas. He loves the tree. He loves the lights. He loves the stockings. He loves trying to unwrap Christmas presents. He loves his Elf on the Shelf, Fargo. He loves the nativity set we have. HE LOVES CHRISTMAS. What can I say, he is his mother's child!

A Brisk Chicago Thanksgiving

We recently got back from our annual trip to Chicago over Thanksgiving. We had the most amazing trip with Max's family. Wells really seemed to enjoy the city and the brisk weather! He relished in the time he had with his Gami and Gampi!

Baby it's cold outside!
Wells was fascinated with the tree.

My little elf!

Elf loves to give sugar!

At the end of the day, what guy doesn't like to walk around in his diaper with his boots and Santa bib! All in a busy day's work!

John Kevin Ellzey, "Jack"

On October 31, our family welcomed John Kevin Ellzey "Jack", weighing 7 pounds and 6 ounces. My sister did fantastic. Her hubby, Jake, was deployed when Jack was born, so I had the honor of being in there to coach and help my sweet sister. She did PHENOMENAL!

This precious little one is such an amazing baby!
And, Wells absolutely loves him! He is already so good with babies.
