One-piece

I am currently in search of the perfect one-piece swimsuit. My husband and little boy recently bought me the one to the left - and I love it.

With summer right around the corner, I need another one. But, I want it to have flair and style. And...I want it to be appropriate.

You see, I used to wear two-pieces and will probably still wear them when I am with my hubbs. But, I want to look like a modest, stylish mama now ! So, if any of you have seen such a suit that has style, flair and is just down right darling, leave me a comment.

Your input is much appreciated to this mama who is venturing down a new path! Happy Hump Day!

A Happy First Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day. On Saturday, Max, Wells and I spent the day together. It was so awesome having my boys run around with me and spend quality time together. I spent a good amount of time reflecting on the sweet little boy (below) who made me a first-time mommy! Wells, you are the light of our lives and I feel so honored that the Lord would give me the responsiblity to guide and protect you. I love you with my whole heart! Max, thank you for being the incredible other half of me and the best daddy in the world! I love being parents with you!

Wells went swimming for the first time on Saturday. As you can see below - he loved it and did great!

Then, on Sunday, we spent lunch with Kathryn (Max's mom) and the evening with my mama. My sister and I gave my mom the ultimate float for Mother's Day (below). She has always been in search for the world's greatest float. Mama, I think we found it.

And, by the way, it took my sister and I almost 2.5 hours to blow this puppy up! But well worth it. It seats 6 adults and the babies. So much fun.

While I am on the topic of mothers, I have the world's greatest! I love you, Mama, and am so thankful for you. Thank you for being the best Mama to me and Dolly to our children!

My Mama and Daddy floating together - enjoying their growing family!

And of course, Wells got to eat his groceries and dinner while floating on the ultimate float. He was a fan.

Right before we got out, I tried to grab a mother/son pic. Wells was not too interested.

And finally, my sweet sister and McCall. Sis - you are an amazing mother too! I loved getting to celebrate with you.

All of those Mama's out there reading, or women who want to be mothers, I hope you experience the same joy raising children that I feel. This is the Lord's greatest gift!

Babies Abound!

That is right! Our family is growing! Now before you get too far ahead of yourself... I am NOT pregnant. However, my side of the family is "being fruitful and multiplying."

My sweet cousin, Carol-Sidney, and her husband, Houston, had their first little boy, Boyce, on Saturday. He is so precious and already so loved! Congrats, Nunu and Houston! We can't wait for Boyce and Wells to play together!

And in other news... my sister and her husband, Jake, are welcoming their second little one in November! I am so ecstatic and so proud for them. They do not know what the baby is yet, but this proud aunt will keep you posted.

Baby Shake (a combination of Shelby and Jake) - coming November 2011.

You may be wondering how McCall is taking the news. Well, all she really says is "baby." I don't think that little one knows what is about to descend upon her! But, we cannot wait!

If you think about it, please keep Jake in your prayers as he bravely serves our country!

First Easter

We had a fabulous Easter! Praise the Lord - our Savior is alive!

Every year, we have both families (and extended families) over for Easter lunch . Wellsy was such a big helper to get us ready. He is still not mobile, so this year was not too bad with trying to keep him in one place and occupied.

Wells playing sweetly while I buzzed around to get ready.

Flowers were soaking in the bath tub. Lots of arranging to do.

With the help of my grandmother and sweet Aunt Dee, the flowers were completed! And beautiful...

The dining room table is set.

My grandparents from Dallas were not feeling well and sent flowers as a way to let us know they were thinking of us. Such a sweet treat!

The breakfast room table is set.

And the Easter Bunny arrived.

Goodies for McCall and Wells.

Our handsome little guy who was loving the attention on Easter.

The entire Jodry Family.

Mommasissy and McCall. McCall was acting shy when we wanted to take her picture.

But we finally got her looking at the camera.

McCall then discovered that the Easter Bunny came and delivered some surprises for she and Wellsy.

But it is hard to say if Mommasissy was enjoying the surprises more than the children. :)

Uncle Al showed Wells the ropes on how to open an Easter basket.

And Wells got his bunny ears too...

Who knows what Al is doing in this picture - but it made me laugh.

Daddy did the honors of showing Buddy how to Easter egg hunt.

McCall truly seemed to understand the idea of "hunting"

And she found a nest!!!

And Buddy did too.

All four Jodry boys!
The Jodry clan again.

My sweet cousin, Rachel and me - right before dinner.

And, after all the excitement, I found Wells like this....

Playing with paper - one of his favorite things.

It was an incredible day with family and so much richer to have babies enjoy all that Easter brings. I pray our sweet little ones will one day soon understand the true meaning of Easter and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

So close...

TO CRAWLING!!!

That is right, baby boy is working so hard on crawling. He is sooooo close. Below is the progression of the crawl-in-the-works..

This picture (above) is scary to me. I have seen that expression before...it looks like my face when I am intent and staring at something.
He has decided he is going to show off.

Thinking about it...

Put your right hand out, put your left hand out...

OK, Mama - are you watching?

Here I go!

Got on all 4's. Are you watchin' mama?

Just wanted you to stop and see how cute I am.

If I put my mouth in the right position, I will start to scoot backwards... and the scooting happens.

I did it, Mama!

We are so proud of you, buddy. You are officially scooting backwards. Won't be long before you are mobile - forwards. And then, baby proofing here we come.
